Set in the West End of 1950s London. Director Leo Kopernick and writer Mervyn Cocker-Norris are collaborating on an adaptation of The Mousetrap, a literary work by Agatha Christie. Men cannot come to one solution, their creative views diverge. At one of the parties in London where high society gathers, Leo's dead body was discovered backstage. Inspector Stoppard and rookie Constable Stalker begin their own investigation of the case and try to prevent another murder.
