After moving to another city, young high school student Emily cannot adapt in any way. Her life is changed when she finds a little red puppy who becomes her best friend. A new family member grows up very quickly and becomes a huge red dog named Clifford. The size of the pet attracts the attention of the employees of the genetic company. They want to take Emily's friend away for further experiments, but the girl will protect her four-legged friend by any means.
